Xenoculture No More... |

I'm sorry to say that after much wailing and gnashing of teeth, I have decided to wind up the Xenoculture project and close the site. I opened this site in July 2007 with great hopes and expectations of Spore, but sadly there is no getting around the awful truth, which is that Spore failed to live up to it's pre-release promises. Just like countless other players and creators, I have lost interest in this unfortunately over-hyped game. In addition the site itself has become something of a white elephant. Faced with falling visitor numbers and a potentially unfeasible work-load to make the site compliant for the deeply underwhelming and ill-thought-out Galactic Adventures expansion, it is unfortunately not practical or desirable for me to continue this project. The site will remain online until the domain expires in July 2009 so that our Colony members can retrieve any files they may have here, however new member registration will shortly be suspended, no new features will be chosen, or support provided for the Sporepedia. If Spore 2 turns out to be a better game then I hope to resurrect Xenoculture, but sadly I think that may be a slim hope! Otherwise I would like to thank those of you who have joined and taken an interest in this little Spore project and hope that you enjoyed it whilst it lasted! XenoKate |
